Bed Bug Treatment in Hamilton, MT
Hamilton, Montana, is located in the Bitterroot Valley and is the county seat of Ravalli County. It was founded by copper king Marcus Daly in the late 19th century and named after J.W. Hamilton, who provided the right of way to the railroad. Hamilton sits 45 miles south of Missoula and has a population of around 5,000.
Hamilton is home to the Ravalli County Museum. This museum is located in the former Ravalli County Courthouse, which was built by A.J. Gibson in the 1900s. It was going to be torn down in 1979, but it was saved by a community vote. Many people consider this museum to be the finest little museum in the northwest. Permanent exhibits include a Native American collection based on Salish culture and Lewis and Clark, an extensive Bertie Lord photo collection, and Bitterroot Valley logging, agriculture, and historical archives.
Every year, the Ravalli County Museum hosts McIntosh Apple Day, which is known as “The Biggest Bake Sale Under the Big Sky” due to the hundreds of homemade apple pies, apple fritters, caramel apples, apple cider, and steak kabobs for sale. This event also has musuem booths, free kid activities, and more. At night, adults can enjoy hard apple cider from Rocky Mountain northwest, check out local food trucks, and enjoy live music.
Another popular museum event is Bitter Root Day, which celebrates the state flower and the Salish People. It features arts and crafts, food vendors, and live music. Members of the Salish Tribe also join and share their cultural heritage through drumming and dancing.
